In 2026, the Life Crisis Center marks 50 years of standing beside survivors, families, and children who had nowhere else to turn. Half a century of answered calls. Half a century of doors opened in the darkest moments. Half a century of rebuilding lives, one brave step at a time. None of those steps were taken alone. Every moment of safety, every breath of relief, every chance at healing, began with someone like you.

As we enter our 50^th year, your generosity becomes part of a legacy that has saved thousands of lives and will save thousands more. You help ensure that the next person who gathers the courage to reach out will find us here ready, compassionate, and unwavering.  Each year, thousands of victims of domestic violence, sexual assault, child abuse, human trafficking and those in crisis across the Lower Eastern Shore find the strength to take their first steps toward safety and healing. Life Crisis Center is often one of the first safe places they experience after unimaginable trauma. We have reached the limit of what our current space can hold. But the need for services has not stopped growing. That is why Life Crisis Center is expanding. From generous donors and grant funding from the State of Maryland, we broke ground in July 2025 and construction is well underway.  With your support this holiday season, 2026 can be the year we open the doors to a fully furnished and functional, 4,636 square foot expansion.

$250 — Children’s Comfort Kits / Emergency Care Kits (Unlimited) 

*Provides clothing, toiletries, and essential items for child and adult survivors.

$500 — Counseling seating or Children’s Comfort Items (20 Needed)

*Funds trauma-informed seating or therapeutic sensory tools for children in counseling.

$1,000 — Healing Welcome Space in our Lobby (4 needed)

*Supports the warm, trauma-informed lobby environment that reduces anxiety and promotes safety.

$2,000 — Wellness Room, Lighting Solutions, and Mural Walls (6 needed)

*Creates calming, regulation-friendly spaces by funding lighting, décor, and wellness room.

$2,500 — Hotline Technology Support (2 needed)

*Ensures our crisis hotline stays fully operational so every call for help is answered.

$3,000 — Staff Intervention Workstations (6 needed)

*Provides desks, chairs, and equipment for specialized staff responding to client needs.

$4,000 — Group Therapy Table and Seating (3 needed)

*Funds the table, seating, and setup required for group therapy, survivor workshops, and classes.

$5,000 — Safe House Room Refurbishment and Advocacy Space Needs (4 Needed)

*Supports furnishings, equipment, and essentials for families or advocacy spaces.

$6,000 — Complete Child Play Therapy Room (3 needed)  *Funds the full cost of one play therapy room including art, sand, sensory, and play-based healing tools.

$7,500 — Technology and Security Upgrade (7 needed)

*Enhances phone systems, security, telehealth tools, and essential technology across locations.

$8,500 — Full Counseling Office Sponsorship (9 needed)

*Supports a fully furnished counseling office and the tools needed to deliver ongoing sessions.

$10,000 — Community Collaboration Conference Room (2 needed)

*Funds a comfortable, private space for meetings, partner collaboration, and client-serving coordination.
